Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2 June 2026. This policy explains how personal data is handled on this website (the "Site").

1. Data controller

The controller is Seyedmilad Komarizadehasl (Barcelona, Spain), reachable at Milad.komary@upc.edu.

2. What data we collect

Registration: if you create an account, our processor Clerk collects your name and email address (and, if you choose social sign-in, the basic profile data from that provider).

Usage analytics: aggregated, anonymous usage statistics via Vercel Web Analytics. This tool is cookieless and does not identify you personally.

Server logs: our host (Vercel) processes standard technical data such as IP address and browser type to deliver and secure the Site.

3. Purposes and legal basis

Registration data is used to keep you informed about updates, apps and research, and to respond to collaboration enquiries — legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time. Analytics and security logs rely on our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in understanding and protecting the Site, using privacy-preserving tools.

4. Processors and international transfers

We use Clerk (authentication) and Vercel (hosting and analytics). These providers may process data outside the EU, including the United States, under appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

5. Retention

Account data is kept until you delete your account or ask us to delete it. Anonymous analytics are retained in aggregate only.

6. Your rights

You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, or object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time, by emailing Milad.komary@upc.edu. You can also delete your account yourself from your account menu. You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD, aepd.es).

7. Security

The Site is served over HTTPS and authentication is handled by Clerk. No method of transmission is fully secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.

8. Changes

This policy may be updated; the "last updated" date above will reflect any changes.
