When revision 07 hides a critical change
During bidding and execution, drawing revisions arrive continuously. Comparing two dense PDFs by eye is slow and error-prone, and a missed change in reinforcement, levels or a construction detail turns into extra cost, rework or a contractual dispute. Revision control often rests on the memory of the one engineer who knows the drawing.
What the tool does
Plan Version Comparator orders the versions of a drawing, detects what changed between PDF revisions and classifies the impact of each change so the review starts with what matters. The result exports as an Excel-ready record: quality-assurance evidence of what was reviewed, what changed and what was flagged as critical — useful for the technical office, site management and claims.
A typical example
A technical office receives yet another revision of a foundation drawing a few days before pouring concrete. Instead of overlaying PDFs by hand, they upload both versions, see the modified zones highlighted with their priority, and bring an exported change record to the site meeting — ready for decisions and accountability.
